The Chase Academy, Inc., a private non-profit corporation located in Volusia County, Florida, was established in 2006 to provide educational services specifically tailored to meet the individualized needs of students with high-functioning Autism or any of the related Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and to focus these services on maximizing the students' potential for inclusion into mainstream society.
The Chase Academy is dedicated to providing exceptional education to exceptional students.
ACADEMIC GOALS
- To provide a welcoming learning environment specially designed for the ASD student.
- To meet the individual educational needs of the ASD student by recognizing areas of strength and determining areas of challenge.
- To coordinate special services that address the daily developmental challenges faced by the ASD student.
- To integrate the special services into the learning environment so as to foster personal independence and build social awareness.
- To create a support team that focuses on the personal and academic success of the ASD student.
- To provide our students' families with support, training and resources for ASD related issues.
- To relate to the local community through volunteerism and organizational involvement.
- To raise awareness of and provide for community acceptance and inclusion of the ASD population.
