Summer does not have to be a time of languishing skills and lost learning. The Chase Academy has summer
explorations available for each age group to help maintain and develop skills that are unique to kids with
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Summer is a prime time to learn something different and something new.
The Chase Academy is here to help build a better, more productive summer for kids with ASD.
Camp CHASE offers the following Summer Programs for ages 5-17:

Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 11:30 am
- Sessions require a minimum of 8 campers to activate session weeks.
- No more than 12 campers will be registered for each session.
- Parents may want to choose 2 sessions in order of preference to ensure a session date.
- Campers must be independently mobile and verbally responsive.

Based on three guiding principles:
Engage students in first- and
second-hand investigations to make sense of the natural world.
Employ multiply learning modalities: Do it. Talk it. Read it. Write it.
Capitalize on science-literacy synergies.
Week I: June 28-July 2

Monday to Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- 8-12 campers per week.
- Integration of science content and literacy skills and strategies optimizes instructional time.
- Units are aligned to National Science and Reading standards, as well as standards for English Language Development.
- Students surpass expectations and transition to content-area reading and writing in later grades with confidence and success.
- Advice on best practices in both fields is woven throughout the program to ensure acquisition of comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency goals, as well as strong gains in science conceptual understanding and science inquiry abilities.

learn science content at the same time. Programs that are
